Behind the Work.
I am an educator, writer, and advocate dedicated to one belief: that native-Spanish speaking Latin Americans have a distinct advantage in conquering English — and that mastering it is the key to everything they want to build in the U.S.
Mission
El Genio de los Latinos was built for native-Spanish speaking Latin Americans who are ready to conquer academia and business in the United States — and who understand that mastery of the English language is the sharpest tool available to them. This platform exists to sharpen it.
As an academic writing tutor, I worked with brilliant Latin American students who were fully capable of excelling in U.S. academic spaces — they simply needed the right support to translate their intelligence into the conventions of English academic writing. The same is true in business. The ideas are there. The drive is there. The language just needs to be sharpened.
I built this platform with tutoring that meets students at their level, copy-editing that honors the intelligence behind the words, and scholarship resources that open the doors that talent has already earned the right to walk through.
The same skills that earn an A on a research paper close a business deal. The ability to argue a position clearly, structure an idea persuasively, and write with authority — these are not academic skills. They are professional ones. Latin American entrepreneurs and professionals who develop them don't just compete in U.S. markets. They lead in them.
This work is also personal. I have Cuban and Venezuelan family members, and many, many Mexican loved ones. I know what English means to them — and have seen what mastering it makes possible.
This is not charity. This is recognition.

Academic Background
Two SUNY Associate's degrees — one in Literature — and a SUNY baccalaureate degree. Won multiple awards and scholarships, and was additionally accepted into a private institute and a prestigious Ivy League university.
Writing & Editing
Knowledge of over 300 contemporary and classic works of American, English, and world literature translated into English. Years of experience in tutoring students with their academic writing in English, and newspaper editing
